Started with a vision to fill the void left when Nico's Catacombs closed after 35 years. The goal was a locally inspired, locally owned spot that carried on the downtown Fort Collins restaurant tradition. Named after the winningest coach in CSU football history, with artwork, trophies, and a Wall of Fame featuring former players throughout the space. The lounge is the happy hour move. The dining room is for anniversaries. Both are worth knowing about.
Thai-Style Calamari, Sonny's Ribeye, Filet Oscar, and Sonny's Butter Cake are the standouts. The oysters get called out in the bar setting alongside nachos as a lounge-friendly combination. One of the most highly regarded wine cellars in Northern Colorado. Lemon drop martini and the house margarita (tequila, agave, lime) are the cocktail highlights.
Patio
No patio. Downtown Fort Collins underground location with a cozy below-street-level feel and subdued lighting.

Signature move
Show up Monday anytime after 4pm for the BOGO burger deal in the lounge, order a $7 Old Fashioned, and stay long enough to justify the butter cake for dessert. Monday is the standout value night and the bar gets packed for it.
Good to know
Monday happy hour runs all night, not just 4-6pm. Tue-Sun the HH window closes at 6pm. CSU game days, graduations, and holidays fill the place quickly so reservations matter on weekends. Happy hour pricing is lounge only, not the main dining room.
