A locally owned diner and pub with a long history as a staple in Wellington. The only bar and restaurant worth knowing about in Wellington if you live north of Fort Collins and don't want to drive into town. Prime rib, Bronco Burger with green chili, roasted garlic, and bingo nights make it more than just a pit stop on the way home. One of the few Golden Hour venues in the Wellington coverage area.
Deppen Brewing feels a lot more community-driven than some of the bigger brewery operations around Northern Colorado. Big dog-friendly patio, relaxed atmosphere, and the kind of place where people from Wellington actually seem to gather instead of just passing through. I also like that they don't only cater to hardcore beer people. The cocktail program and full bar setup make it easier for groups where not everybody wants an IPA. The beer itself is really clean and well done too, especially if you appreciate more classic brewing styles instead of breweries trying to make the weirdest beer possible. Definitely feels more like a local hangout spot than a trendy brewery scene.
